In year 12, I had to study at an all-online school. This meant very few classes and minimal contact with my teachers. I tried several Latin tutors, including current VCE Latin teachers from private schools. Unfortunately, they all fell short of my expectations. Then I met Luka!! After a lengthy conversation over the phone, I realised that he was exactly what I needed. There was no question too hard. From then on, it was smooth sailing. Luka teaches grammar with an exceptional technique that is unique to him. The way Luka would break down unseen translations was amazing and was what I found lacking in every other tutor and teacher. Luka has a wonderful sense of humour, and I looked forward to our lessons every week. He has an incredible understanding of The Aeneid. We studied every prescribed line together, and Luka could demystify what is extremely difficult text in this era. He taught me how to identify poetic techniques and how to answer questions about the effects of them. I went from questioning my choice to even do VCE Latin to excelling and topping my class. I ended up with a score over 50 thanks to Luka's assistance. Luka supported my entire year 12 journey, even marking my English essays towards the end of the year. I feel very grateful to have had Luka as a tutor as essentially he was my teacher. He is an inspiration. Anyone fortunate enough to lock him in as a tutor is extremely lucky!! I just wish I had found him earlier!!! |

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! Luka knows the Aeneid extremely well and he is so good at explaining the use of techniques and literacy devices (in a humorous way too). we went through almost every single line of the prescribed text together and did unseen translation practices together. And most importantly, his tips on how to approach to assessments and exams are so useful and much needed especially in the last few weeks of year 12 which not only kept me on track with life and study but also helped me to get my 99+ ATAR. literally the best tutor out there, i'd give him a 12/10. |

Over the past few years Luka has not only helped me tremendously in my latin studies but he has also greatly supported my vce journey as a whole. He's genuinely a great bloke and has successfully found a way to make latin one of the most fun subjects to learn! Would highly recommend as a tutor. |

After trying a few Latin tutors who never really understood what I needed, I found Luka.
From the very start, he was very involved in my learning and had resources to support my areas that needed improvement such as unseen translation. He knew the Aeneid extremely well and understood how to structure faultless answers in every section of the exam. I really genuinely felt that he improved my translation skills as he would meticulously go through difficult unseens to make sure I understood every aspect. I really couldn’t have done what I did without Luka. A brilliant and empathetic man!! |

Luka was an excellent latin tutor. He was knowledgable and knew the Aeneid really well, as well as the structure of VCE questions. We went through all the prescribed lines with fine detail, identifying nearly every single poetic technique, which proved to be a big help in the short answer section. With his help my latin score was over 50. |

He is extremely patient and knows what he's talking about. His tips and advice is really helpful and he makes sure you understand the concept or what he's explaining. I didn't have the greatest foundation with this subject so he started all the way at the basics and this was really helpful with the harder concepts later on. My grades actually improved a lot and I could actually feel the difference in class since I understood the concepts a lot more. He really knows his stuff. Would definitely recommend. |

He’s an absolutely amazing teacher, funny (his jokes are the best I’ve heard from anyone), relatable and lovely. He gives great tips on how to approach assessment tasks and shares his philosophical knowledge. He also seems to have a lot of maturity and methodology in how he teaches and his life in general. He’s really good in assessing your level in general and slowly building up unseen difficulty in par with it. I really love how he has that sort of friend-teacher vibe, so I was comfortable in telling him everything about my studies and year 12 in general. He’s soo good I’m missing him already! Totally recommend 😊 |

Luka has taught me so much in the past few months, that my grades rose by 50%. He
explains everything to me in depth and with a lot of patience. Not only this, but he is
organised, has great teaching methods and is enthusiastic. I could not have improved so
much if I didn't have his help.
P.S. His puns are alright... |
