Mary is a dedicated, passionate tutor and has helped me greatly in specialist over the past two years. Her knowledge in maths is outstanding and she is very up to date on the ins and outs of the current Methods and Spec curriculum.
She offers very personalised feedback on tests and exams and gives very specific advice on how to improve on previous scores. She is also very patient and understanding, and sometimes even gives insightful and inspirational life advice outside of mathematics and studies.
Overall, Mary is an excellent tutor and person to be around, would recommend! |

Dr Hu is an amazing tutor who is very encouraging and motivates me to do the best of my abilities. She is very knowledgeable and experienced in the curriculum and explains hard concepts in a very simplistic way showing me tricks to answer questions. Dr Hu is also a very lovely person who puts in the effort to understand students' personalities making lessons very comfortable. What sets her apart from others is that she prioritises making students love and enjoy maths more, which in turn encourages me to study harder as it is more enjoyable to learn the subject. She is one who tends to focus on how to improve from a students' weakness instead of the score itself. She plans lessons ahead to follow the students' course outline, sometimes making me weeks ahead of school, and spends the beginning of the lesson going through any questions i have, which i find to be very beneficial. Through her help, i have been able to achieve multiple math awards at school and i highly recommend her ! |

If you have been searching for a Methods tutor who's friendly, knowledgeable and dedicated, look no further! Mary is easily the best maths tutor I've ever had! From being an average Methods student in Year 11 to becoming one of the highest performers in my cohort, I have definitely improved with Dr Hu's mentorship. Mary knows how to motivate students without stressing them out, taking into account the workload of their other subjects and their co-curricular activities when giving out homework. For students in Years 11 and 12, she's available all year round and is flexible with the timings of the tutoring sessions. I recommend Dr Hu to all students studying Methods in Years 11 and 12. |

Very good. Math tuition lessons are very relaxed but at the same time, you learn a lot of content. With sufficient studying, you can push ahead of the curriculum. Highly reccomended. |

I really enjoy the lessons with Ms Hu. She is very patient and supportive but also challenge me to achieve my personal best. She knows the courses well as she has taught them for years. Many of the difficult concepts were broken down into small pieces and I found that it is much easier to learn them by small pieces. She tents to find my weakness and tries to turn them into strength and it works out quite well. I would highly recommend her if anyone who wants to improve in math. |

What I really love about going to tuition is not just the fact that I get the help I need for maths, but also how Mary initiates small chats before every lesson to ease me through the lesson. Mary is extremely patient and is very knowledgeable on the subject she teaches. Although there is homework but it helps refresh your memory on the topics learnt during the lesson. I definitely enjoy every lesson I attend! |

Mary is extremely patient and encouraging. She tutors based on the individuals needs and abilities. Although I found this subject very challenging, Mary helped build my confidence and improve my marks drastically in the short time that she tutored me. I really recommend Mary!!! Maths Methods is quite difficult and honestly without her I
wouldn't have done as well as I have. There's only so much a school teacher can do, given
the time and number of students which divides the teacher's focus, so it's really handy to
go to Mary with questions to have one-on-one assistance. She is also very good at
explaining concepts! Thanks for this year :))))) |

Mary is an excellent teacher, she is patient, kind and helpful. I enjoyed having tuition with
her and another friend. Mary has very excellent teaching skills and can also handle
different problems with specialist, methods etc, she helps students based on their own
knowledge and lead them to the best they can achieve. She helped me work through all
my problems in year 12 methods, i had large progress on methods after i worked with her.
Thank you so much for being such a nice teacher, i highly recommend Mary as a teacher
and tutor. |

I enjoyed the tutoring very much, it was fun aswell as educational, she was very kind
and great at teaching, aswell as being able to communicate the problems I had well. I
enjoyed the sessions and conversations, Mary was a serious but easy to get a long with
tutor that you could have a conversation with and learn. I learned alot from this tutoring
through the time together, not only in maths but in other areas, and I am very grateful
and appreciate Mary's efforts for me. Mary is a great tutor and it was worth driving far to
come to the lessons as it was very enjoyable and helped in my progression through
mathematics in school.

Mary's tutoring skills are excellent. She is a very kind, patient person, gently
encouraging her students to do the best of their ability. She is very consientious and
becomes involved in her students lives, helping them as much as possible. I found her
tutoring programme was very well suited to my own skills, weaknesses and capabilities.
Mary was excellent in adapting and executing ways and plans to help me and enable me
to get better, including explaining concepts in a way that was easy for me to understand.
