I joined Dharshana's Physics class last year after it was recommended to me by a family friend. They spoke very highly of her and mentioned how much effort she puts into helping each student individually, even though the classes are run in a group setting. After attending her classes, I can definitely see why.
One thing that stands out is that she genuinely cares about how each student is progressing. If you're struggling with a topic or making the same mistakes, she notices and takes the time to help you improve. It never feels like you're just another student in the class.
The LMS is also really useful. It has lesson recordings, notes, quizzes, worksheets, and other resources that make it easy to revise topics in your own time. We can also flag quiz questions that we find difficult, and Dharshana goes through them in class and explains them in detail, which has helped me clear up a lot of misunderstandings.
With the VCE exam coming up, she already has a clear revision and trial exam plan in place. What I like is that the focus isn't just on doing practice exams, but on understanding why mistakes happen and how to avoid them in the future. The feedback is very personalised and helps you know exactly what you need to work on.
Overall, Dharshana is a dedicated, knowledgeable, and supportive tutor who goes above and beyond for her students. I would highly recommend her to anyone studying VCE Physics. |

She was by far one of the best tutors I had. If I was to go back into tutoring and choose a class to sit again I’d come to her classes again. If you are a student who wants to excel in physics and want someone who’s not only knowledgeable but can also execute lessons and use class time most efficiently to help you, I’d recommend her. She’s also very up to date with how we learn now a days, as she had a whole website that she uses to put her notes and questions on.
Most importantly she is a very kind and caring teacher who builds relationships with you and will support you no matter where you are in physics. Don’t be scared if you need help because she will take time out of her day to help you. |

Finding Dharshana as my physics tutor during my VCE journey has been a stroke of luck. Regretfully, I wish I had discovered her earlier. However, I am immensely grateful for having her support before starting Unit 2. Understanding the motion section in Unit 2 has proved vital to my success in completing Unit 3, while some of my friends struggled without the guidance of a tutor like Dharshana.

Mrs Dharshana, has been a really good tutor. Attending her lessons for 2 years, her method of teaching is very effective and easy to understand. She gives homework and checks if it has been completed, but the homework set, is very useful and not too much, which was really good in fully ensuring that the content was learnt well. She answers any of the questions raised and goes over concepts multiple times if we have difficulty. She is also very flexible and her exam timetable is great as it starts preparing you well over 3 months before the exam. She further marks the full papers we have completed and provides detailed answers, so that the error doesn't occur again. Overall, a really great tutor. |

Ms Salwathura is a kind and understanding tutor who has a very comprehensive learning program that makes Physics an enjoyable subject. When I had finished year 11, I was extremely scared about choosing Physics for VCE because of my lack of understanding. Until year 12, I personally perceived Physics as a subject that only consisted of applying formulas to repetitive questions. Therefore, when I entered year 12, where Physics requires students to apply their knowledge to any situation, I found myself struggling and desperately wanting to avoid the subject, deeming it my automatic "bottom two". Luckily, I was recommended to Ms Salwathura by a friend and it changed my outlook on Physics immediately. Ms Salwathura clearly explains concepts through her lessons and always encourages student engagement. Students do not hesitate to ask questions and Ms Salwathura is always happy to follow up on any misconceptions outside of classes through messages and calls. In addition, students receive unique feedback on tests and practice exams as well as detailed notes for every single topic. What makes this effort even more incredible is that I have been doing her lessons online all year and not once have I ever felt the barrier of online communication as I did during school. Ms Salwathura is always there to provide help and support. As a mum, i thought of writing few words about Dharshana. My daughter chose physics as one of her VCE subjects this year. Dharshana has not only helped me improve my understanding of physics concepts, but helped and encouraged me to appreciate the subject itself. Initially, I found physics a subject I did not really enjoy, but after her classes and her ability to help me grasp even the most difficult topics, I was able to garner a passion for the subject myself. This was assisted through her quick responses to any of my questions and the high quality resources she provided that explained some topics in an easier to understand way than the textbook. Therefore I was able to see an improvement in my grades early on, and this set me up for a very strong foundation going into units 3/4. Her dedication to her students was also exemplified through her individually marking each and every trial paper I submitted, providing worked feedback for all the questions I did incorrectly and ensuring I did not make the same mistakes twice. This allowed me to be more efficient when doing my trial papers and see a greater improvement whilst doing less trial papers due to her feedback. One of the best tutors I've known! :) When I first started physics at the end of year 10, it wasn't a subject that I was fond of. I never really got good grades, and I was planning on dropping it. But then in year 11, I started to go to Dharshana for physics tutoring, and since then my grades began to improve drastically (when I mean drastically, my grades went from the 50s to 90s in the first few months). Through her passion for teaching and her limitless effort to help me get the best grades, she brought me to a position that I never thought I had the potential of reaching. Dharshana is a tutor who puts all in to ensure that her students get the most out of her teaching and go beyond their potential. In the last couple of months before the exam, I was so surprised by the amount of effort she put in to get me the most out of the practice exams by writing an individualised report on each of these practice exams. Throughout the year, she made sure that I didn't forget the previously learned content by giving me a 30 mins quiz at the beginning of each class every week. This helped me a lot at the end, before the exams because I didn't have to spend much time on revising the content, and could jump straight into practice exams. Dharshana is very considerate about the workload, so she gives enough homework to ensure that we understand the content but not too much that it interferes with schoolwork. She also provides a range of resources throughout the year that assisted me to understand the content thoroughly and had a great communication system. So I was able to text her or call her anytime throughout the week when I needed help. So I highly recommend Dharshana for VCE physics tutoring. Her classes worth so much! |

Her way of teaching helped me a lot in terms of understanding the content as well as being able to tackle the tricky questions in physics. I can proudly say that I did improve a lot from her over these 2 years.

Dharshana has been an amazing and exceptional physics tutor. Her extremely organised vce plan and easy to follow classes,is extremely reassuring, as it would be hard to be stressed with the exam preparation Dharshana offers. Dharshana not only teaches the fundamental understanding of physics, but how to write and explain in exams these difficult concepts to a proper standard. With Dharshana’s plan I completed and went over with her about 25-30 exam papers. Dharshana’s kindness and care towards her students is truly inspirational, and I strongly recommend her to all students. |
