"I’m extremely grateful for the help that Ms. Ueno has provided during the 2 year IB program. Going into IB, i wasn’t the most confident in my Japanese abilities, but with her organised weekly lessons I was able to score a 7 with an overall score of 89 (the grade boundary for a 7 was 83). Ms. Ueno was always prepared for each week and would notice my strengths and weaknesses, allowing personalised and effective lessons. During all the listening and reading practises she would give clear and quick feedback, as well as show me new sentence structures that exceeded the scope of the IB syllabus. This really improved my grammar and vocabulary, especially helpful for writing, the oral and reading. She also consistently had a friendly attitude and would encourage me after lessons. I wouldn’t have scored a 7 without her help and recommend her for any other student hoping to score high in IB for VCE Japanese."
