I do run LITERACY and SHORT RESPONSE Workshops in Terms 1 and 2. These are open to students on the Waiting List and for students who do not attend Tutoring.

Tutoring is taking place via FACE TO FACE or PHONE or ZOOM and GOOGLE DOCS.

DURING NSW LOCKDOWN, I was tutoring online, using a combination of ZOOM or PHONE and GOOGLE DOCS. This successfully enabled visual interaction between myself and the student and the ability for both of us to work and edit the same document simultaneously.

(For those students reluctant to work on Zoom, a combination of phone and google docs was available.)

ONLINE AND DISTANCE STUDENT LESSONS are organised using a combination of PHONE or ZOOM and GOOGLE DOCS which successfully enables both visual interaction between myself and the student and the ability for both of us to work and edit the same document simultaneously.

I have been a Teacher of Secondary English and History for more than 30 years and I love working with teenage students to help them achieve their potential; students who are Gifted & Talented and want to push further through to students who find English a challenging and complex subject.

Based centrally in Mt Pleasant, I offer after-school hours throughout the week and also "time-tabled free" school times and weekend hours to senior students.

I work predominantly with Senior students in Years 11 and 12.

All lessons are ONE-ON-ONE.

My lessons are tailored to each student and their needs, what they are concentrating on at school at the time and how their Assessment Task schedule is arranged. I offer a wide variety of personalised worksheets, textbooks and current web material to supplement their school texts.

Most importantly, all materials are tailored exactly to the needs of each student and what they need.

Students are offered SMS and email access as required, including the marking or editing of written work beyond weekly tutoring sessions.

I enjoy working with all ability levels of students, finding their differing needs an ongoing but most enjoyable challenge. I have worked with many students from Years 7 through to Year 12, enrolled in all English levels & work well with students experiencing difficulty with the subject, through to English Extension 1 and English Extension 2 in Year 12.

I work predominantly with Senior students preparing for the HSC. My specialty area is English. I have also taught and tutored Studies of Religion through to Year 12 (SOR 1 & 2).
I am qualified and have taught Modern & Ancient History and tutor in these subjects also.

Essay Writing (developing and improving skills) for any subject is also available.

I have a very clear Policy on Payments & Cancellations available.
Payment is for 10 Week Blocks with a 5% discount OR Weekly Cash Payment.

Students pay ahead in BLOCKS of 10 weeks to receive the discount.

Please be aware that STUDENTS ARE ALSO OFFERED EXTENSIVE SMS AND EMAIL
ACCESS BEYOND TUTORING SESSIONS, allowing them to have written material marked
or edited as needed.
There is NO ADDITIONAL COST for this.
