Hi, I’m Evan!
In 2024, I graduated from Melbourne High School with an ATAR of 99.80 and was awarded Rank 1 (Dux) for VCE English Language.
In 2025, one of my own students went on to earn DUX of English Language at Melbourne High: the same title I held a year prior.

Now, I help students master the structure, clarity, and confidence needed to excel in this subject, not through memorisation, but by learning to think like an examiner and write with purpose.

Experience

I've worked for a considerable amount of time in Selective High Tutoring (Years 7-8) alongside some time teaching younger students at tutoring agencies like JamesAn College.

I have hundreds of hours of experience teaching, giving feedback, etc. to VCE English Language students.
I'm excited to now teach my peers entering in Year 12 (the class of 2026) how to EXCEL in this subject.

Also offering 'headstart' programs for Class of 2027 students, where we run through the the Unit 3/4 course 1 year ahead.

Qualifications

? ATAR 99.80 | Raw 47 in English Language (Highest Score at Melbourne High School) - placing in the Top 0.9% of the state
? Awarded the Academic Award for English Language (Rank 1 for SACs) - dropped just one mark on SAC 1 and consistently achieved Top Band results across the year
?‍?? Now a Medicine student, continuing to mentor VCE English Language students using the same evidence-based frameworks that produced these results
? In 2025, one of my own students earned Rank 1 (DUX) for English Language at Melbourne High, following the same structured system I developed
? I’ve helped students across all ability levels, from low and mid-band performers to consistent A+ scorers

? CASE STUDY
A Mac.Robertson Girls’ High student began in the middle bands, struggling with clarity and structure.
After just two weeks of applying my feedback system and response frameworks, she lifted every section of her work into the highest band, the strongest results she’d achieved all year.
