Hi I am Mark and I am a accredited teacher and education consultant who can assist school and university students achieve optimal results by providing them with a tuition support model fulfilled with encouragement, guidance and support to help them reach that desired result. I have the ability to breakdown difficult equations and formulaes into language that is easy to understand and absorb by students of all levels, enabling them to ultimately gain maximum marks in a HSC or university exam.

I have a passion for Mathematics and Statistics and I love to teach. I take great pride and satisfaction in helping students reach their maximum goals so that they can plan, progress and be successful in their future career.

I am offering personalised and/or group tuition service. I am fully flexible in terms of location around Sydney. I also tutor from home and library campus if this suits you better. My availability is 7 days a week (Monday to Sunday)

STRUCTURE OF LESSONS FOR YEAR 7-12 STUDENTS
* In the initial session, the student is evaluated by what they are up to in the Mathematics curriculum. Any inherent weaknesses is also able to be identified with an action item and plan of what must be done moving forward to improve teaching and development. * Teaching of materials is done by using the relevant worksheet stencils/prepared booklets and recommended text books. The work is taught by giving demonstrated examples and teaching concepts around this for the student to understand the work. After student understands the work, the student is then observed how they apply the topic by giving them self guided practice questions under direct supervision and observations. Further tuition is then enhanced when they are practically doing the question to ensure they know exactly what they have learnt and can apply it outside the lesson.

STRUCTURE OF LESSONS FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
* In the initial session, the student is evaluated by what they are up to in their subject field. Any inherent weaknesses is also able to be identified with an action item and plan of what must be done moving forward to improve teaching and development. * Teaching of materials is done by using the lecture notes, past examinations or quizzes. The university students normally has a central tendency of what they like to learn in the sessions so i adopt my teaching methods to cater for that university student.

SUBJECTS OFFERED FOR TUTORING * Year 6-10: Mathematics (including all pathway levels and streams) .
* Year 11-12: Mathematics new curriculum stage 6 --> Mathematics Standard 1 AND , Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Extension 1 and Mathematics Extension 2.
* University Students: All levels of Statistics, Engineering Mathematics, Actuarial Studies, Quantitative Finance and Econometrics related subjects. * Statistical packages including SPSS, MINITAB, SAS, JMP, SHAZAM.
* Excel basics and analysis of data.
* Finance/Business related subjects.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE * Masters of Teaching Secondary Education
* Masters of Teaching in Gifted Education
* Masters of Teaching in Leadership
* Double Degree - Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Actuarial Studies) & a Masters of Applied Finance at Macquarie University. * Fellow of the Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance * Fellow of the Financial Institute Services of Australasia (FINSIA)
* Graduate Diploma of Insurance (Post Grad) * Senior Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australia * UAI of 95.25. I received dux in Yr 10-12 (1st in 2 Unit, 3 Unit & 4 unit Mathematics) * Mathematics tutor for Yr 7-12 for the past 25 years * University tutor for statistics for the past 17 years
