Konnichiwa ( = Hello), everyone!
My name is Miki, and I am from Tokyo, where I studied voice and pronunciation to become a Japanese narrator for TV documentaries and radio.
I started my Japanese language classroom, 'iStudyJapanese', in 2010, where I live in North Perth. I welcome you to my lessons. I break down my lessons into a 'new learner-friendly manner', which improves your ability to grasp and remember important concepts. I am delighted to share tips with you on how to pronounce Japanese beautifully.
Whether it is a personal passion, a business pursuit or for any other reason, you will learn to speak with the correct pronunciation, as well as develop listening, reading, and writing skills.
How does the Japanese language work? What is the language etiquette when communicating with different people? For Japanese people, the way one speaks changes according to the situation - this knowledge is essential and a feature of what you will learn. Simply rote-learning the language is not enough for effective communication. Let me help you to communicate in a way that Japanese people will appreciate.
My speciality is teaching English speakers the Japanese language for the first time. Having taught all levels up to Business Japanese, I know that what is most important is building a solid foundation from the beginning. Seeing you succeed is very rewarding for me.
* Material for Effective Learning *
I provide many helpful learning aids that I have developed over the past 10 years, based on feedback from students in my classroom. In Level 1 (10 lessons), you will have 20 PDF files comprising 80 pages. You can download or print them. These make it easy to grasp the fundamentals of each lesson.
* Practice Using The Quiz App *
You can review and practice what you have learned in each lesson using the quiz app. For example, in Level 1 (10 lessons), you will have over 1800 review flashcards via the quiz app provided. I record all lessons in my studio so you clearly hear words pronounced correctly.
* Learning Options *
I offer beginner Japanese group lessons from levels 1 to 4. Each level has 10 x 75-minute lessons.
The lessons are held in the North Perth Classroom. If you prefer, you can attend via Zoom. Also, each lesson is recorded. If you need to be absent, you can catch up on the video before the next lesson via our LMS (Learning Management System). You won't miss anything.
It is a maximum of 6 students in a class and $390 for Level 1 (the first 10 weekly lessons)
