I attended part of the class room classes and completing the rest of Level 01 as an online learner.
I found Miki-san's classes and her teaching style very good and enjoyable. Miki-san is always encouraging and very patient with every student especially with old coves like me!
Beyond any doubt, I fully recommend Miki-san's Japanese Language Lessons!!

I attended both classroom and live stream lessons for Level 1, and am returning to classroom lessons for Level 2. The course Miki-san offers emphasises contemporary usage of words and sentence structure as well as writing and reading kana scripts. Writing practice and the completion of homework is essential for successful completion of the course.
As a teacher, Miki-san is patient and encouraging. As a student, I found myself in a class of excellent students who spurred me on to thinking fast, which meant of course, that I simply HAD to do my homework! There is NO doubt at all that I would recommend Miki-san's IStudyJapanese.

I have just completed Level 1 of Miki’s Japanese course that she runs. I can honestly say that I have learnt so much over the duration of the course which lasts for 10 weeks. It’s a very extensive and comprehensive program. The lesson runs for approx. 1hr 20mins, Miki is very well organised and each lesson is well structured covering a lot of content each session. I think an added bonus is the fact you can download and watch each lesson as many times as you wish. I chose the live stream option, which again is a bonus if you are unable to attend the classroom session. Miki would regular email me to check on my progress, she is genuinely a very kind hearted, professional, bubbly person, who wants you to achieve your full potential. I would 110% recommend Miki to anyone who is interested in studying Japanese, I can guarantee you, that you won’t be disappointed!!

I cannot recommend Miki highly enough.
I have nearly finished my third term of classes and am amazed at how much I have learned. And the difference with Miki's classes is that I have understood what I have learnt as she provides all the background.
I've just returned from a trip to Japan and was pleased about how much Japanese I could speak. And that I was understood. Not only were all the practical things useful like directions, transport, ordering meals, etc, but it was great to feel that bit more polite to the Japanese people with correct greetings etc.
Miki's classes made me feel really confident to give my Japanese skills a go on the trip. And I truly think this made this Japan trip a lot more fulfilling than the last.
I look forward to completing the whole course in time with a great teacher, Miki, in a fun, lovely environment. |

Miki is an excellent, friendly teacher.
Having a full time job that requires 40 - 50 hours a week, I am very impressed with
my Japanese that I have gained throughout with Miki. Having only one class per
week that runs for an hour, the lessons are well prepared in advance and Miki has
always made class interesting. Her lessons are enjoyable in which she also
integrates Japanese culture and tradition. She is fully aware of our abilities and
thoroughly encourages us to improve and maximise our potential. My older brother
has also completed this class with me and is still amazed that he can read and write
Japanese despite his limited study time due to family and work commitments.
Overall, her classes were highly enjoyable and I would recommend Miki as a tutor to
anyone who is keen in studying or improving their Japanese! |

I found Miki's classes through a Google search and was slightly apprehensive before my
first lesson. But once I got there, she made me feel so at home! She is one of the most
genuine, kindest and warmest people that I've had the privilege to meet. She is always so
patient with explaining words and grammar until we get them, and encouraging when we
don't. Also I appreciate the fact that she is very flexible about allowing us to change
classes even though, it must be troublesome for her. I had some basis in Japanese before
started classes and she let me jump into another class that had some time ago. I took
over a year of lessons with Miki before graduating and at the end of them, she's become
more like a mentor and a friend than a teacher. We'll definitely be keeping in touch. Thank
you, Miki-san! |

I attended both group lessons and private lessons. Miki san's lessons have developed
something I thought I would never get: CONFIDENCE! Miki san is always well prepared
and encouraging. She provides a superb professional language service. She is very very
very friendly and patient. She has made learning Japanese enjoyable! I always have a
sense of achievement after each lesson and look forward for the next one. :) Miki san is
the best teacher I have ever met! I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to

It may look like my review is biased, but in my experiance i could not have asked for a
better teacher. Ask anyone in her classes and you will get the same answer. Miki-san is a
bright, bubbly and super kind person who's passion is teaching. By the time i graduated
form her class by obtaining my JLPT lvl5 (with an A for every subject) i feel she was more
a friend helping me along my way, than a teacher.
I just wished i could have had some teachers like this when i was in school!
Go and have a go, im sure nobody will leave dissapointed.
Classes are easy to follow, interestingly presented and the homework clearly set out with
various tools and programs that can be utilized to make learning easier and more
accessible.

I hope there are more than 5 stars I could give to Miki San, seriously! I studied with
her from the very beginning to the end of the first level. It took about two years in
total but it worth every minutes and cents. I love to go to her session every week
and slowly it became something that I have to do every weekend. I feel weird if I
don't go. And I cannot strongly recommend her enough if you seriously thinking to
give Japanese language a head start. She is perfect if you want to learn some real
Japanese for whatever reason. She understands her native language very well and
her knowledge is so good that even my Japanese friends are impressed. She speaks
very professional, proper and consistent Japanese, making the lesson more easy to
learn and understand. She spent so much effort and time with me to go through all
the materials and make sure I could understand the materials inside out. She is
always so positive and encouraged me all the time not to give up. She has also spent
lots of time and effort to make class interesting and comfortable for the students.
She even recorded the video for any student who miss the class and make sure you
could catch up before the next one. I will definitely go back to her when she is ready
to run the next level Japanese Class. Give her a try and don't give up, you will not
regret it!!! |

Since January 2011 my daughter and I have been taking lessons with Miki and we have both seen significant improvement in our abilities. Miki has customised lessons for the both of us - I need more formal 'Business Japanese' lessons while my daughter needs to improve her general Japanese. Miki prepares for each lesson very well and provides a lot of support outside of the classroom. The classes are well structured and Miki is friendly, encouraging and totally professional. We would both highly recommend her lessons for anyone who is serious about improving their Japanese language abilities. |

I tried Miki's online Skype Lessons as I live in a different state to Miki. Before I started the Skype lessons, I
was a little negative, however Miki's lessons were so good. Apart from the Japanese languages skills I
picked up, I was able to learn so much about Japanese culture and manners, so that during my Japan trip,
not only could I communicate well, but I also impressed the locals with my correct and "polite" Japanese. I
highly recommend Miki's tutoring and I suggest you give the Skype lessons a go - it is brilliant not having to
leave the house and still have a one on one personal lesson. |

I would recommend Miki as a tutor to anyone who is serious about wanting to learn Japanese. Miki is very professional in her tutoring and is a really wonderful, friendly person and is both easy to learn from and interact with.
I've had about 20 lessons so far and am fully confident that I will be fluent in Japanese due to Miki's skills and dedication.
In closing, "great" does not cover the improvement I've experienced as this has been tremendous. |

I was looking for a Japanese tutor for my highschool child. Before I found Miki, I approached two other tutors (from this website) and they never return my calls. Miki returned my call within three hours. I explained to her what I want my child to achieve and she proposed the strategies to do it. She also explained her fee structures in a clear and concise manner.My child found her to be very friendly and encouraging. I also feel that she is so passionate abuot her work as she has put in countless hours of behind-the-scene preparation to make sure that my child recieves the most benefit during the sessions. In conclusion, she is a fantastic tutor. |

Miki is fantastic. She really cares and puts ots of effort into preparing lessons. She has great learning tools. Miki is the only tutor I found who speaks Japanese well and can help with pronunciation - unlike tutors who are not native to Japan. |
