I have over 30 years international experience and over 14 years Australian experience as an English teacher. I have taught US and UK curriculum preparing students for IGCSE/ Lon O/Lev and A/Lev / SAT and Australian curriculum.

I have worked exclusively in Australia for the past 14 as a tutor teaching both the NSW primary and Senior syllabus.

I have successfully prepared students for NAPLAN, OC, SELECTIVE and HSC (Advanced & Standard levels.)

My expertise also covers World History (Ancient & Modern) and Geography.

I also help adult students research, draft and edit assignments on a variety of subjects.

Using structured, user friendly strategies I specialise in teaching adults and students English grammar, pronunciation, spelling, writing and comprehension and math for primary grades.

As a published writer and poet within Australia and abroad, my specialty is teaching writing of both literary and factual categories, literature appreciation and analysis of both texts and poetry.

I also have extensive experience in editing assignments, reports and other publications.

My career covers 30 years as a teacher, coordinator, vice-principal, a published journalist, poet and writer of short stories and novels. I have also authored a text book entitled, �Middle East, A Culture and Civilization Unsurpassed. My qualifications include a Masters� Degree in Education, Cambridge Certificate IV in TESOL and CELTA and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

In addition, I have taught English Conversation, Business English, and Grammar to adults. I have consistently had great results with local and foreign students ranging from the Middle East to East Asia.

Using a combination of modern techniques, I help students to quickly understand basic strategies essential for conquering problem solving skills in comprehension, writing, reading, spelling, vocabulary building and speaking English articulately.

I carefully analyse the learning style, level of instruction needed and the areas which need special focus of each student. I have great empathy and patience with a student�s speed and level of progress. Above all I possess the ability to instill confidence in my students by teaching them analytical skills which gives them the courage to handle any material given to them independently.
