I had the privilege of having Ms. Hird as my English 3/4 teacher, and I must say that she is an outstanding teacher. From the moment I met her, I felt an immediate sense of warmth and friendliness that made me feel at ease.
Ms. Hird's friendly demeanour and approachability creates a comfortable learning environment where you feel safe to express your thoughts and ask questions without hesitation. She always makes sure to listen to her students, understanding their individual needs and providing personalised guidance whenever required. Ms. Hird is incredibly patient and dedicated. She would patiently explain difficult ideas until everyone understands them completely.
She consistently motivates her students to push their boundaries, to challenge themselves, and to believe in their own abilities. Her genuine belief in our potential was truly inspiring and helped us build confidence in our own writing and analytical skills. Moreover, her teaching methods are engaging and interactive, incorporating a variety of resources to cater to different learning styles.
Overall, Ms. Hird is an exceptional VCE English teacher who goes above and beyond to create a supportive and enriching learning environment. Her friendliness, patience, and constant encouragement are qualities that make her stand out as a remarkable educator. Ms Hird was my VCE English teacher for both Unit 1/2 and 3/4, and she is truly exceptional.
Her clarity of feedback, engaging teaching style, and extensive experience have made a great impact on my learning throughout VCE English. Her ability to provide clear and understandable feedback has been invaluable. She outlines exactly what is required to succeed and provides excellent examples to guide our learning.
