Ish’s tutoring is amazing. My SACs went from a C to an A over Year 11 and 12. His approach and structure really works. We worked through mock exams under timed conditions, reviewed real past papers and used feedback that made each draft stronger. 10/10. |

Our daughter entered Year 12 VCE English feeling overwhelmed by extended responses and the study design. With Ish’s structured lessons and targeted SAC practice, her essay marks jumped from low mid-50s to high 70s within eight weeks. Ish also modelled how an assessor reads responses, which gave her confidence going into the final. We couldn’t be happier. |

I’ve had a few tutors over the years, but Ish stands out. One thing I like is that he gives really specific feedback. I felt so confident going into the 3/4 exam which is crazy because English was my worst subject at the start of the year.

I am also a VCE teacher and I can't recommend Ish enough. I took the decision to engage an external tutor very seriously. Ish’s approach impressed me. He focused on essay structure, timed practice, examiner insights, and sustained improvement. He made complex concepts accessible and boosted my son’s writing fluency and analytical depth. It was a bit emotional ending our class today bc it marks the end of school but also working with Ish. I'll always miss our conversations about texts :(

I always struggled to write deeply about Literature texts. I had ideas, but didn’t know how to express them. Ish helped me go beyond surface-level readings and actually engage with form, tone, and literary features. My teacher commented on how much my writing had improved and by the exam last year I felt really confident and ended up doing really well. |

I was stuck in the low 60%s for English and had no idea how to improve. After a couple of months with Ish as my tutor, my SAC marks jumped from B to A+, and I finally understood how to break down prompts and write good analysis. I ended up getting a study score of 41! I can’t recommend Ish enough :) |

I used to hate English Language because I didn’t understand metalanguage or how to use examples properly. But after just a few lessons, everything started to click. My tutor explained things clearly and helped me build responses step-by-step. I now feel way more confident going into Unit 3/4, especially with ACs and short answers. He even showed me how to approach Section C in a way that made sense. |

Ish helped me IMMENSELY with fixing my over-complicated writing style. He gave clear, constructive feedback on every paragraph and taught me how assessors mark. I ended up with a 46 in English and am doing Law now! Would highly recommend him. |

My daughter had lost all motivation in English and wasn’t getting any useful feedback at school. She has been learning from Ish for 1 term and we will definitely continue into Year 11. She’s really enjoying the tutoring and she’s now one of the top in the class for her English marks. |
