If you're looking for a tutor who knows what he's doing and is willing to put up with his student's slander, he's the guy for you. Besides being very knowledgeable in English Language VCE and having centuries of experience, Jayden's a really nice and patient tutor- is very passionate about what he teaches and is happy to explain concepts if you don't understand.
Also he's really behind on the latest teenspeak, might be because he's no longer a teen himself (pushing 60s). |

Going into English Language I was really lost as it was a writing style completely different to what I was doing in years 7-9. Jayden really helped to show me the nuances between the two styles, help me in understanding all my metalanguage and analysis as well as developing my own writing voice. His clear, step-by-step approach to teaching made it easy for me to understand and grasp new content and the feedback he provided on my SAQs, ACs and Essays were easy to improve upon. Review: 5/5 Stars - Highly Recommend!
Honestly... Jayden Choi is like, an absolute lifesaver for VCE English Language. I was struggling so much with the metalanguage at the start of the year, but... uhh... he just makes everything click.
His classes are super structured, but, ahh, he still takes the time to explain the hard concepts like phonology or discourse analysis in a way that actually makes sense. Like... he doesn't just read off a slide. He breaks down the actual stimulus material and shows you exactly what examiners want to see.
And, umm, his feedback is incredible. He marks essays so fast and gives, like, really specific advice on how to improve your analytical commentaries. I used to get so stuck on how to structure my paragraphs, but... yeah, his templates and examples helped me so much.
If you are looking for a tutor who actually cares and, uhhs, knows the study design inside out... definitely go with Jayden. He's a great teacher and just a really nice guy, honestly. |
