Anna was extremely helpful for me during my Year 12 English, and I really appreciated her patience and ability to help me understand approaches so that I could improve. She was able to explain what and how I needed to do to strengthen my English assignments, and we would always go over my tests and exams to understand how I could improve them further. Her advice was always helpful and practical, and she constantly made sure I felt more confident in what I was doing. I really enjoyed working with Anna and would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their English. |

Dr Anna Brunken has truly helped me improve my english essay writing skills in preparation for my VCE English exam! Not only does she help with marking essays and pinpointing your areas of weakness in your writing, she also gives you new perspectives and ideas on your novel that you would never have thought about before! As I am a person that values independence I found it quite easy to work with Dr Anna Brunken as I decided each week what I wanted to work on in our lesson. If you are someone who enjoys going at your own pace and deciding what you want to work on then Dr Anna Brunken would be most suited for you! |

I found Anna an incredible tutor to work with, and the Skype sessions surprisingly easy to adapt to as we had very rare technical difficulties and could often work on and read the same sites simultaneously.
She has a great knowledge of the subject and greatly helped me in improving my literature skills and writing, particularly in sophistication. |

Completing year 12 during 2020 has been stressful as it is. My weekly tutoring session with Anna was something I looked forward to. Anna is an AMAZING tutor and also an amazing person in general. She offered support in such a stressful year of being stuck at home and I am truly grateful I had her as I do not know what I would have done without her. Anna’s online tutoring on Skype is a great way to communicate as you’re free to meet at any time. Anna truly cares about the wellbeing of her students and never once failed to ask me about my other subjects and is always willing to listen no matter how many times I complained about certain areas. My results from the start of the year (B-) improved to an A+ by just doing practice pieces and taking on the corrective feedback from Anna and including it in my pieces... improving each time! I 110% recommend Anna for any tutoring services and I know I’ll be calling her for any future tutoring sessions!! |

Anna helped me go from B+'s in year 11 to straight As and A+'s in Year 12. If her availability were unlimited, I would have recommended her to all my friends. Besides catching up with me weekly on Skype, Anna also took the time to proofread and help me with any essays I sent to her outside of the Skype sessions. |

I could not rate Dr Anna Brunken highly enough! As a mature age student (with a family and 2 jobs) I was really struggling with my academic writing and hating uni. In just a few skype sessions, Anna had me back on track and my grades have picked up from Credits to Distinctions.
If you are returning to education and feeling a bit rusty (and very stressed) I urge you to contact Anna asap. She has a lovely manner and extensive experience across a range of subjects. |

I commenced English tutoring with Dr Anna when I was in Year 11, as my marks were very poor. My selection was spot on as she helped me from getting D to D+ grades in 2017 to consistent B’s come the end of 2018. Anna is very flexible with her timings which helped me a lot during my Year 12 as she was able to take more than just 1 lesson during the week. She tries to help her students by looking at their weaknesses and spending time fixing them. She doesn’t want a lot of essays in a week, rather wants quality rather than quantity. She tutors on Skype, which saves a lot of travel time, inevitably helping her students tremendously. She tutors for a very reasonable price and isn’t too concerned with money, rather the progress that her students make. |

Earlier this year I went in search of an English tutor for my daughter and came across Anna. Anna runs her tutoring sessions over Skype and, at first I was a bit sceptical as to how this would run. I had nothing to worry about. It works! Anna is very accommodating and the times worked for both. She is not one of those tutors who watches the clock, which is absolutely fantastic to see. I have definitely seen the change in my daughter, from just being okay in English to excelling by the end of the year. Her knowledge of the text is outstanding and she gave her the support and confidence leading into the exam. Anna is an outstanding tutor and would definitely recommend her! |

Throughout my high school experience I was always struggling with English and could never really do too well. With Anna's help for my year 12 english subject I was able to understand the criteria and write according to what was expected. She was able to clearly explain concepts to me that I had trouble with and was able to greatly improve my writing as a whole by providing feedback and explained what needed fixing in an understandable manner. For anyone looking for a tutor I would highly recommend Anna as she will be able to work according to anyone's level and keep the person motivated to do well. |

I honestly don't know what I would have done without Anna's help! She was patient, encouraging and explained everything so clearly. I was finally able to understand things that had confused me for years at school. My marks really improved and I believe my stronger score in English helped me get into the University course I wanted. I highly recommend Anna because she is an excellent teacher and a supportive tutor. I will definitely be calling her again if I need help at Uni. |

Anna was able to help me develop the appropriate writing skills and prepare me soundly for my SACs and final exam. She was dedicated to my development and promptly answered any queries i had, even during times when we didn't have our classes. My son and daughter both were struggling with English in VCE , thank goodness we found Anna ,
Anna is a amazing & compassionate human being who has taken my 2 VCE children to a level I never thought can be attainable. By having the VCE English tutes via skype was a time savour for all involved, there was no stress or running around of dropping off my children to the library for tutes or an english tutor to come to the house. The Skype sessions were a huge success. We thank you Anna & we will be seeing you in a few years for the 3rd child who will be entering VCE...

I found Anna to be extremely helpful. When I started English at the beginning of the year my scores were very average and I couldn't bump it up no matter how I tried, but after about 2 or 3 months of being tutored by Anna, my scores gradually started to increase and I was extremely happy.
Anna teaches well in that she always explains the basics first and then dwells deep into the information. She has provided many extra material to support my work and her constant reminder that I can do this was great. |

I cannot recommend Anna enough. I had her for 2 years , U 1/2 English Language and U
3/4 Mainstream English. Personally I am not one that is very passionate about english but
Anna managed to make English enjoyable again for myself and also really helped me get
through my final year of schooling. The information and sources she provided me with
were amazing and always make you stand out in class. Her knowledge of the subjects
were mind blowing too , and always engaging. She always makes the lessons also very
inclusive of the student. She acknowledges your interests and will often try and
incorporate them into work , making the lesson highly engaging. I can with out a doubt
say that every week I enjoyed going to lessons and actually enjoyed English again. I
cannot thank Anna enough for all she has done for me these last two years, and would
easily and highly recomened her to anyone. |
