As a parent, I find Jane is enthusiastic about English and teaching at the same time. All her lessons are well prepared, structured and presented. I recieved a detailed report every end of the school term. Jane not only helps my child improve his English but also motivates his self learning, provides valuable insights on subjects choosing and university decisions. Jane is not just a teacher to my child but a mentor. |

JANE is a very responsible teacher who tailors her approach based on each student's weaknesses, helping them find targeted solutions to improve their skills. Although a class may only last an hour, the teacher puts in much more time afterward, assigning homework and reviewing the student's progress. I'm very grateful for the help JANE has provided my child with their English. |

Mrs Wilkes tutored me in English a few years ago, with particular focus on Shakespeare’s Macbeth. I was not a student who particularly struggled with English as a subject, nor did I find studying Shakespeare overly challenging (in comparison to my class mates). However, the insights and perspectives on the text that Mrs Wilkes provided were of incredible depth, and were based on an extraordinary wide knowledge of the text and texts related to it. The analysis that she helped me make about the text was more sophisticated than that which I had made in school. Furthermore, the homework and exercises that Mrs Wilkes prescribed, ensured that I knew, and understood the text in the depth with which we analysed it, and it ensured that my responses were written clearly, and that they answered the question. The responses were designed to help me write in such a manner that would garner the most marks in an hsc response. For these reasons, I would highly recommend Mrs Wilkes’ tuition. |
