The team at Senior Education Studios is amazing: each tutor created a personalised program for my level (after an assessment) and worked at a pace that would both challenge me and keep me interested in learning more. Brooke tutored our son in English in Year 11 & 12. He had huge anxiety about attempting any kind of writing for English and was really struggling with it before we began tutoring. We reached out to Brooke mid year when my daughter had lost confidence in VCE English and was feeling quite overwhelmed. Brooke was able to provide a clear pathway through the issues and helped her from week 1. Brooke tutored our daughter for 6 months leading up to the Year 12 VCE Exams this year. She immediately developed a great rapport with her. Our daughter went into the English exam prepared, confident and with a plan. Brooke is an extremely knowledgeable English tutor and is across the entire VCE curriculum and texts. Brooke tutored my son for Year 12 English, at the start of the year he couldn't finish an English essay, therefore he was getting an ungraded mark, after Brookes tutoring my son could easily finish an essay and received a B in his exam!! I enlisted the help of Brooke for my son throughout years 11 and 12. An analytical student naturally adept in Maths and Science, he found English to be a struggle until he started lessons with Brooke. Understanding how students process information, Brooke was able to adapt her teaching to breaking down English in a way where my son could view it as an equation and work to a solution. His results went from D's and C's to achieving year 12 results of B+, A and A, and an overall scaled study score of 35. My son's capabilities in English on his own would definitely not have achieved this result. Not only was Brooke's assistance crucial to him achieving in English, he was able to adopt his learnings to other subjects requiring detailed long answers on assessments. I would highly recommend Brooke as a tutor. |
