Andrew was a superstar when it came to tutoring my daughter for International Baccalaureate Maths (year 12 IB diploma). There is a very large amount of content to get through and his organised, methodical and dedicated approach was ideal. Not only was his videoconferencing teaching excellent but he did heaps of questions / examples. He has a wealth of resources and knowledge and he is also a super nice person. Mr Chen is a very knowledgeable teacher who is both patient and always happy to answer any questions I have. I've found it extremely helpful that he not only goes through how to apply different formulas and problem solving techniques efficiently, but more importantly, how they actually work. He also has plenty of resources for practice, both general exercises and complex exam questions, which have definitely helped me prepare for my exams. |

Andrew is a fantastic investment as he is hard working and dedicated to supporting his students. We did tutoring online weekly from the start of Year 11. He has a widespread knowledge of maths and helped me improve my problem-solving and interpretation of senior mathematics (math methods). I was able to improve my grade from 50% to over 70% in grade 12. |

Andrew assisted me greatly with mathematics throughout year 12. He improved my problem solving skills and provided me with a deeper understanding of mathematics, which ultimately lead to an improved final mark. As he has experience as a secondary math teacher he was consistently able to provide me with quick explanations for all math concepts covered. I highly recommend him if you are looking to improve your marks. |

Throughout my senior years (grade 11 and 12) I went to Andrew for tutoring in Math B. With his help, I saw vast improvement in my problem solving, application and understanding of content, as well as the overall quality of my assignments. Prior to tutoring I was sitting on a B- in math, however, with Andrew's help, I finished year 12 on an A. |

I really enjoy Math, but always have trouble with complex problem-solving as a result of
gaps in basic mathematical knowledge. The first tutoring session I received was a week
before a massive assignment was due and I was stressed. In forty minutes, I was able to
understand how to solve and create periodic functions, which had taken one semester to
learn in class. When I received results from the unit, I was so surprised to see that my
marks had jumped up a whole grade. This was in 2016 as a grade 11, Math B student.
Now in grade 12, with O.P testing ahead of me, I decided to receive one tutoring session a
week. This has kept me ahead of the subject matter taught in class simply because Mr
Chen tailored his teaching to my learning style. We have covered the basics specifically
required for the problems I receive in class and have moved on to complex concepts.
Honestly, it saves me about two hours each week from either lurking outside a math
staffroom, trying to find five minutes with a teacher or sitting at my desk banging my
head. I strongly recommend his services to students who need clarification on
mathematical problem-solving and understanding. |
