When my children first started with Steve, their math level was average for their school year (5). After about 10 lessons, there was significant change in a number of areas, all for the better. They were solving problems quicker and persisted longer. I appreciated that underlying these changes were the other learning and life skills that Steve teach. He formed great rapport with my children and inspired them by caring about their work and getting to know them as individuals. They look forward to their lessons (and the regular homework). |

I cannot say enough about Mr Steve and how he has helped Kai in achieving the required ATAR for his University and Course of choice despite missing the whole of year 9 and half of year 10 due to unfortunate change of home circumstances. We found Mr Steve half way through year 10 and was able to help Kai catch up on the year and a half gap, building his confidence to take on advanced and extension Maths for year 11 and 12. Steve is like having an extra parent on the case and was so supportive sending messages to Kai on the day of his maths HSC exam for a boost. Our son was really sad to finish high school as it meant his regular sessions with Steve would be over. Steve is beyond the best inspiring Maths tutor and teacher, he is a great mentor and advocate for his students.
Mr Steve was a big contributor to helping Kai reach his dreams. Thank you so much.

Steve was a wonderful tutor. Incredibly patient and always had a lesson plan prepared and ready. He explained math concepts in ways that I was able to understand and was always challenging me for further growth. Would highly recommend him as a tutor if you want your child/student to excel! |

I was fortunate to have Mr Steve teach me IGCSE Mathematics, as it was my first experience with an internationally recognized curriculum and I felt nervous that I could not be the A student as I had always been since middle school. I took the Extended curriculum for IGCSE Mathematics which was very vigorous but Mr Steve helped me cope with challenging concepts and changed my attitude in tackling difficult problems.
I feared Algebra and Graphs related topics, and I had the tendency to avoid them, but I overcame thanks to Mr Steve’s fun and creative ways of helping us memorize formulae and concepts. Mr Steve incorporated images, videos and real-life demonstrations to help us visualize concepts – it was like Khan Academy’s teaching caliber but at a more manageable pace and interactive. For someone who is generally more quiet in class, I wasn’t afraid to ask all the questions I needed – I was truly understanding them instead of my usual rote learning which I grew up with.
Even though I wasn’t one of the weaker students who stayed back after school for his extra Maths lessons, Mr Steve still checked on me if I had truly grasp a concept I was struggling with. He nudged me out of my comfort zone to demonstrate my workings and explaining it to my peers. It was one of the most effective ways of learning in my experience and boosted my self-confidence with his consistent support. Needless to say, by the end of the curriculum I ended up with an A*, close to perfection, and kept my A-student record.
I’m in the 3rd year of the University of Edinburgh pursuing an Artificial Intelligence degree where a strong mathematics foundation is essential. I was very grateful that my Maths foundation had been strong since high school thanks to Mr Steve and still recalled how he had probed the right questions to get me thinking about the problems.
I can highly recommend Mr Steve to bring out the best of a student’s Maths capability. I believe one of the biggest roadblocks to learning is being afraid to ask for help. But Mr Steve does not make a student feel this way. I have seen Mr Steve customized his methods of 1-to-1 teaching with each of my classmates when they needed help and was always enthusiastic and patient in his teaching. His passion for solving Maths questions was contagious as I have witnessed even unkeen classmates to be clarifying Maths concepts during recess times. And as a high-achieving student like myself, I see Mr Steve like a good friend who I highly respect and can depend on, knowing I can comfortably ask any questions to improve my learning experience. |

I first met Mr Steve from highschool, where my interest in math wasn't great and my math skill was average. Mr Steve taught me for several months, and I was able to enjoy it more, and my grades went up.
He would make the class more entertaining by mixing with humour and tips. I enjoyed them and that made it easier to memorize all the lessons, as I prefer non-strict environment when learning. Without this experience, I wouldn't have been able to improve in math, and get the grade I needed for my university, as math was one of my weakest subjects. If you are in a same situation and need a friendly guidance, I recommend Mr Steve. |

Mr Steve has made Learning Math feel more fun and relaxing, instead of feeling anxious when preparing for exams. My grades were just above average before I met Mr Steve, but now I am well above average. My main weakness before Mr Steve was rushing through questions and not slowing down to think. Now, Mr Steve has introduced me to unique and effective ways to solve questions and set out working out. I would 100% recommend Mr Steve for other students. |

I had my first math lesson with Mr. Steve in 2010. I remember my parents were extremely worried for me as my grades were far below average. Almost instantly my maths abilities improved considerably as within the first month of having regular lessons I had moved up a math set. Throughout the following nine years we've continued to improve, develop and hone in on my skills, not solely in maths but in all aspects of life - study skills, wellbeing and life lessons, etc... The classes, nevertheless, remain fun and enjoyable as, although the aim is to optimise learning through personalized teaching, it is achieved through thought provoking discussions and interactive learning (as well as fun comedy breaks!). Last year I achieved an A* in IGCSE extended mathematics and I am currently preparing for my Additional Math exams next month. Overall, Mr. Steve has helped me tremendously in all aspects of life and academics. It is evident that he puts a lot of time and care into helping me achieve my full potential, and I truly look forward to every lesson knowing that I will enjoy myself, both laughing and learning. |

Six weeks from the 2018 HSC, I was not very confident at achieving a good result in the exam. However, at extremely short notice, Mr Trumble was extremely accommodating in helping to teach me as much content to give me a good base for the examination. I went from a mid- 40 in my trial to a 70 in the hsc all thanks to the quality tuition provided by Mr Trumble. A huge thank you to Mr Trumble as well, because most of the skills he taught me for maths revision are helping me to achieve high results in my other subjects. I would highly recommend Mr Trumble to anybody. |

We were at a very late stage of getting my son up to passing his HSC exam. Steve went out of his way at very short notice after meeting us and accepted to tutor him.
He made great improvement in my sons results with his method of teaching.Building a rapport with him and making him feel comfortable with a subject he was struggling with.
I have no trouble recommending Mr Trumble to anyone that needs help in math. |

Steve is a unique teacher who goes beyond the call of duty to help my daughter not only to engage with the subject but to get her to the point where she is confident and getting the results she is capable of. He has a good sense of humour and uses different tools to enhance learning. Overall, a wonderful person who is caring, resourceful, passionate, and motivated to do his best. |
