Edwin Folk is the best teacher you could ever ask for. Not only is he very knowledgeable but he is great at explaining concepts and making it engaging. He not only teaches content but how to answer questions to ensure full marks. My confidence in chemistry was very low at the start of the year, and I was getting D’s and C’s on tests and SAC’s. But with the help of his tutoring I was able to understand the content so well as well as improve my scores at an A on my final exam. Seriously he is magical. |

Before I joined Edwin I was a relatively weak student, averaging around 70% in most of my science and maths subjects. I felt very discouraged and I couldn't seem to improve my scores no matter what I did! One of my family friends recommended Edwin's tutoring to me, so I decided to give it a shot! It was the absolute best decision I made in my VCE journey. I was not only able to further my understanding, but he also helped me fill in gaps that I didn't know existed. Edwin was able to point out my mistakes and lead me in the right direction with patience and kindness. Ultimately, I received scores above 45 in all the subjects he tutored me in. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! |

Edwin was one of the best tutors I ever had! He is very skilled and able to explain complex ideas clearly and concisely. He is also kind and super dedicated to helping his students. Whenever I had any difficult questions or wanted to review any past exam papers, he would be happy to go through them with me during his spare time. He always manages to motivate his students, a cornerstone in helping me achieve my very best during COVID in 2020. He has also given me a lot of study tips, as well as advice to kickstart my journey as a new Melbourne University student. |

I've had my fair share of tutors and I can vouch that Edwin is the best tutor I've ever had.
He literally knows how to explain EVERYTHING in a really clear and easy to understand manner, and he also outlines a very methodical method to solve those dreaded worded questions which I totally sucked at.
On top of that, he's so kind and encouraging which is what I liked most about him. He genuinely cared about his student's performance and wellbeing - evident through his quick messages outside of class to make sure I was on track with my schedule, and I really appreciated it when he would encourage and cheer me up when I was feeling a bit demotivated or lazy from school work. Without him, I wouldn't have been able to score a 98.7 atar - thank you Edwin!! |

Edwin is a fantastic tutor! He has tutored my daughter for a variety of subjects including Units 1/2 Maths Methods, Chemistry and Physics. My daughter was initially a mediocre student before joining Edwin, and was relatively weaker in science and maths. After having joined him, her confidence, grades, and overall enjoyment for school and the above subjects have sky-rocketed. It's amazing that throughout year 11, she did not receive a single SAC score below 90%. I've seen him teach her and he is extremely patient and explains things in a really fun way that my daughter enjoys thoroughly. I cannot recommend him more highly enough! |

Edwin, I just wanted to thank you for this whole year. You've been an amazing teacher and tutor. My marks have gone from 40% back in year 11 all the way to 80's and 90% in year 12 because of you and I'm so grateful for that. You even helped me rank #1 in the cohort in terms of sacs. Thank you so much for everything Edwin. I couldn't be more thankful for everything you've done! |
